This privacy policy governs your use of the V-Guard Smart App (“Application”) for mobile devices. The Application is intended to use features and functionalities of V-Guard smart products.
The Application obtains the information you provide when you download and register the Application. Registration with us is mandatory in order to be able to use the features of the Application.
When you register with us and use the Application, you generally provide (a) your name, email address, contact details, password and other registration information; (b) information you provide us when you contact us for help.
In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device, operating system information, way you use this Application, location, product information, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi access etc.
When you use the VG Smart application, we may use GPS technology (or other similar technology) to determine your current location in order to operate advanced user-friendly features on our Smart Products (IRIS). VG-Iris automatically switches on the Water heater, when you reach the vicinity of your home, so that you get hot water readily available when you reach home. We will not share your current location with other users or partners.

Uninstalling the app
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing,” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information.

By downloading or using the app, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. We are offering you this app to use for your own personal use without cost, but you should be aware that you cannot send it on to anyone else, and you’re not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to V-Guard.
At the bottom of these terms and conditions you will be able to find links to our website where we set out our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use of the app, and the general Terms and Conditions for all the users of this app, which will be relevant if you use the app.
V-Guard is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.
